Barrier properties
Various product types require different levels of barrier to both oxygen, light and aroma loss. The Aisacan™ consisting of a laminate tube either assembled together with aluminum or EVOH barrier layer. This enables the Aisacan™ to have a range of barrier options in order to effectively compete with current industry standard beverage technologies such as stretch blow molding, extrusion blow molding and carton packaging alike.
The Aisacan™ has been created and developed by Aisapack. This packaging system is based on a concept by Aisapack and Huhtamaki.

The family of Aisacans
An important aspect of the Aisacan™ is the family of products and flexibility of this hybrid packaging system. Aisapack will realize a range of standard Aisacans which are inline with our target markets. These standardized sizes will allow small, medium and large customers alike to take advantage of the economies of scale of larger production runs. For specific or original products Aisapack will provide consulting services for customer specific systems to be developed together with potentially large turnover products. The flexibility of the ACM1 assembly production machine allows for a multitude of geometry, closure systems and sizes.
Custom and adapted Aisacan™ applications
The three types of closures which we have available for immediate trial and production runs:
- pco 28 mm flat cap. What is important here is a reasonable opening force from the tamper band.
Several manufacturers have been validated.
- pco 28 mm thumb up® sports spout. This new closure from Bericap France has been receiving a lot of positive reviews for uses from everything from water to aseptic filled products. The design of the closure means there is no longer throw away parts after opening compared with traditional sports caps. Furthermore this closure has been specificially designed for no "dead zones" required for aseptic sterilization.
- pco 28 mm push pull. The industry standard. We have validated both Portola and Bericap versions to this sports drink closure classic.
